Enhanced pumping capacity deployed to ease Kampung Melayu Subang flooding

Flood mitigation efforts in Kampung Melayu Subang have been bolstered with the deployment of an upgraded pumping system designed to handle increased water volumes during heavy rainfall. The new high-capacity pump has been installed at Jalan Resak, replacing the existing unit that previously served the location.

The original pump has been relocated to Desa Subang Perantau, where it will continue to support drainage operations in that locality. The reconfiguration reflects efforts by water management authorities to optimize flood control resources across the broader Subang region.

The enhanced pumping capacity at Jalan Resak is expected to reduce flood risk in Kampung Melayu Subang by enabling faster water drainage during periods of intense precipitation. The upgrade addresses historical flooding challenges that have affected the area during monsoon seasons and extreme weather events.

The relocation of pumping infrastructure forms part of broader flood management strategies being implemented across the Selangor region, where seasonal flooding continues to pose challenges to residential and commercial areas.
