Eternal's Q2 profit nearly doubles as Zomato, Blinkit surge

Eternal reported a significant surge in profitability for the July-September quarter, with consolidated net profit nearly doubling year-on-year to ₹125 crore. The jump underscores the strengthening financial position of the company's core operating units. Revenue for the quarter climbed 77.6 percent to ₹24,138 crore, driven by robust expansion across business verticals. Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization surged 197 percent during the same period, reflecting improved operational efficiency and scale benefits. Zomato, the company's flagship food delivery platform, and Blinkit, its quick commerce subsidiary, both recorded strong sequential growth during Q2FY27. The results demonstrate accelerating momentum in India's digital commerce sector, where both food delivery and rapid delivery services have increasingly gained consumer traction. The company's expanding profitability suggests that scale-driven growth is beginning to translate into sustainable earnings as competitive pressures ease and operational leverage improves.
