Ethiopia conflict intensifies as Tigray violence kills dozens of civilians

Fighting has intensified across Ethiopia's conflict-affected regions, with healthcare workers reporting significant civilian casualties as armed groups clash in Tigray. Tourists visiting Lalibela have found themselves unable to leave as fighting intensifies in surrounding areas, compounding the humanitarian concerns already acute from months of regional conflict. Access routes remain dangerous, limiting movement of both civilians and aid workers attempting to reach affected populations.
