Etihad flight from Delhi to Abu Dhabi cancelled due to technical fault

An Etihad Airways flight departing from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi to Abu Dhabi was scrapped on Tuesday after ground engineers identified a technical fault with the aircraft.

The airline disembarked around 200 passengers from the flight and kept them at the terminal for several hours before formally notifying them of the cancellation. The decision came after initial attempts to resolve the mechanical issue proved unsuccessful.

While the exact nature of the technical problem was not immediately disclosed, such issues are not uncommon in aviation and typically require thorough inspection and repair before aircraft are cleared for flight operations.

Passengers were reportedly advised to contact the airline for information regarding alternative flights or refunds as per Etihad's standard cancellation policy. Delhi Airport authorities said operations at the facility remained unaffected by the incident.
