MANILA — Jeffrey Tupas, who previously served as information officer for Davao City, has categorically denied allegations connecting him to purported cash deliveries linked to Vice President Sara Duterte, according to a sworn statement dated September 30.

In his affidavit, Tupas stated he had no knowledge of retired police officer Rodulfo Gracioso Jr. and disputed claims made in Gracioso's own sworn statement regarding the alleged delivery of suitcases containing cash.

Gracioso had claimed in his affidavit that he facilitated the delivery of funds, naming Tupas as a recipient. The former police officer's allegations have drawn scrutiny as part of ongoing investigations into financial transactions involving the Vice President.

Tupas's denial adds another layer of contradiction to the competing sworn statements. The conflicting accounts underscore the challenges facing investigators attempting to verify claims about the alleged cash transfers and the individuals allegedly involved in the transactions.

Both men have submitted formal legal documents under oath, presenting opposing versions of events. The case continues to attract attention as authorities assess the credibility of witness accounts in connection with the wider inquiry.
