MADRID — The motorsport's governing body is preparing to unveil its 2027 schedule imminently, signalling progress in the annual calendar negotiations that have become increasingly complex as the sport expands its footprint globally.
However, finalisation of the 2024 season's closing events remains unresolved, with sources within the F1 paddock suggesting that decisions regarding the Qatar and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix may not be formalised until next month. The two races traditionally conclude the annual championship calendar.
The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola is widely expected to secure hosting duties for this year's season finale should the Gulf races encounter further postponements or scheduling complications.
