Fabinho, who departed Liverpool after establishing himself as a key midfielder in the Premier League, has completed his move to Trabzonspor as the Turkish club strengthens its squad for the coming season. The Brazilian international brings considerable experience from his time in England's top division, where he made over 150 appearances for the Merseyside club.
The 30-year-old's arrival at Trabzonspor reunites him with Egyptian winger Salah, who joined the Turkish Super Lig side earlier this year. The pair played alongside each other at Liverpool, where they were part of the club's successful campaign that culminated in winning the UEFA Champions League in 2019.
Trabzonspor has been active in the transfer market, seeking to bolster their midfield options ahead of the new domestic season. Fabinho's defensive prowess and ability to control the pace of play are expected to strengthen the club's midfield operations.
The midfielder's signing represents Trabzonspor's continued investment in building a competitive squad capable of challenging for the Super Lig title and competing in European competitions.
