FairPrice Foundation commits $3m to aid low-income Singaporeans

The NTUC FairPrice Foundation has announced a $3 million commitment to Hao Ren Hao Shi, a community-focused initiative dedicated to supporting Singapore's low-income population. The three-year partnership will enhance the organisation's capacity to provide essential assistance to families and individuals facing financial hardship.

Under the agreement, the funding will enable Hao Ren Hao Shi to conduct around 1,200 distributions of fresh groceries throughout the partnership period. The regular provision of produce aims to improve food security and nutritional access for vulnerable households across the island.

The initiative reflects growing collaborative efforts among Singapore's social sector organisations to address poverty-related challenges. FairPrice Foundation's contribution underscores the retail giant's commitment to corporate social responsibility and community welfare.

Hao Ren Hao Shi, which translates to "good person, good deed," has established itself as a key player in grassroots assistance programmes. The organisation works directly with low-income residents to provide practical support and improve their living standards.
