Fallen tree traps driver in Dempsey, damages parked vehicle

A tree collapse in the Dempsey Road area on Wednesday left two vehicles damaged and caused traffic disruptions along Loewen Road. The fallen tree struck a private hire multipurpose vehicle, trapping the driver inside the cabin. Nearby spa staff responded quickly to assist, helping to free the trapped occupant from the vehicle. A second parked car in the vicinity also sustained damage from the falling tree. The incident resulted in traffic congestion along Loewen Road as emergency services attended to the scene. The cause of the tree fall was not immediately established. Authorities have since cleared the area, though investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
