KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 29 — Five separate incidents involving fallen trees were reported across Selangor from yesterday afternoon, with six vehicles damaged in total, authorities said today.
The incidents occurred at different locations throughout the state, with fallen trees striking parked and moving vehicles. Emergency response teams attended to each site to clear debris and assess damage.
Police and local authorities have confirmed there were no injuries or fatalities resulting from any of the incidents. Investigations into the causes of the tree collapses are underway, with weather conditions and structural integrity of the trees being examined as potential factors.
Residents in affected areas have been advised to exercise caution in the coming days, particularly during adverse weather. Local councils have indicated they will increase monitoring of trees in public spaces to prevent further incidents.
