Falling scaffolding damages dozen vehicles at Noida construction site

A section of metal shuttering collapsed at a residential construction project in the I-Thum Heights complex in Noida's Sector 62 on Tuesday, causing extensive damage to nearby vehicles. The fallen structural material struck over a dozen cars parked adjacent to the construction site, leaving them with significant damage.

Authorities reported no casualties in the incident, though the exact circumstances leading to the collapse remained under investigation. Police personnel were deployed to the site immediately following the incident to secure the area and initiate preliminary inquiries.

The incident falls under the jurisdiction of Sector 58 police station. Construction site safety officials are expected to conduct a detailed assessment of the structural failure to determine whether safety protocols were breached or maintenance standards were compromised.

The incident highlights ongoing concerns about construction site safety in the National Capital Region, where lapses in structural safeguarding during ongoing projects have occasionally led to property damage and potential hazards to public safety.
