Farm leader Tikait joins Delhi protest as police enforce traffic curbs

Delhi police have instituted a four-hour traffic ban in several zones of the national capital ahead of an anticipated march scheduled for October 23, 2026, against the Special Investigation Report. The protest will commence from Bangla Sahib Gurudwara and proceed toward the Election Commission headquarters.

Prominently, farm leader Rakesh Tikait is expected to participate in the demonstration, underscoring the political significance of the event. The march represents ongoing concerns regarding the investigation report among various stakeholder groups in the capital.

Simultaneously, the courts will see related proceedings unfold the same day. Activists Ashutosh Rani and Sourav Das are scheduled to appear before the judiciary, while a verdict on a petition challenging a peace bond notice issued to Neha Bora is expected.

Delhi police have responded by tightening security arrangements across relevant areas to manage the anticipated crowds and ensure public order. Traffic management measures will remain in effect throughout the demonstration period to minimize disruption to regular commuter movements in central Delhi.
