Father and son killed in early morning house fire in Terengganu

KUALA NERUS — Firefighters arrived at the single-storey wooden house in Kampung Tok Jembal to find the structure engulfed in flames during the predawn hours. The two victims were found in the wreckage after the fire was extinguished, according to the Terengganu Fire and Rescue Department.

The father and his young son were pronounced dead at the scene. Family members and neighbours were reportedly unable to rescue them before emergency services brought the fire under control. The rapid spread of the flames through the timber structure hampered initial rescue efforts.
