Police in Chhota Udaipur district are investigating a case involving the death of an eight-year-old boy whose father allegedly killed him before attempting suicide. According to preliminary reports, the man strangled his son and threw the body into a water-filled excavation near the Orsang river.
Following the alleged killing, the father attempted to end his own life by inflicting injuries to his throat with a blade. He was found and rushed to SSG Hospital in Vadodara, where he is being treated for severe injuries. Authorities have not disclosed his current medical condition.
The circumstances that led to the tragedy remain unclear, though family members have indicated the father was deeply troubled by concerns about his son's future and wellbeing. Police have registered a case and begun their investigation into the incident.
