FDA destroys 100kg of contaminated sweets in Noida ahead of Raksha Bandhan

Authorities said the contaminated sweets were being prepared and distributed for sale in violation of food safety standards, raising serious health concerns for consumers. The FDA has stepped up surprise inspections and enforcement operations at sweet shops, manufacturers, and distribution centers throughout the district to prevent adulterated and substandard food items from reaching the market during the festival season. Officials warned that vendors found selling contaminated or adulterated products face strict penalties under food safety regulations.
