Federal Court monitoring e-Jamin issues closely, coordinating resolution efforts

The Federal Court's office has emphasised its continued focus on addressing difficulties surrounding the e-Jamin electronic bail management system, working in coordination with relevant parties to resolve identified issues. This comes after the Parliamentary Accounts Committee released findings indicating the bail platform had been in operation for an extended period without a proper contract in place. According to the PAC report, the system processed more than RM130 million in transactions during this period of contractual uncertainty. The Federal Court's statement underscores the judiciary's commitment to ensuring the integrity and proper management of critical court systems. Officials have signalled that ongoing coordination with stakeholders will continue as remedial measures are implemented to strengthen governance and oversight of the e-Jamin platform. The developments reflect broader efforts to address administrative gaps identified in court operations and to establish clearer contractual frameworks for key systems handling substantial financial volumes.
