MANILA — Rough seas triggered by the southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, forced ferry operators to suspend service on multiple routes Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Ports Authority announced.
The PPA issued an advisory at noon identifying several Port Management Offices implementing cancellations to ensure passenger safety during the inclement weather conditions. The decision affected inter-island travel across key maritime corridors in the region.
