FIFA to present review of shelved investment plan to Council
FIFA has committed to presenting a comprehensive review of its withdrawn FFE investment proposal to the world governing body's Council following mounting criticism over the lack of transparency surrounding the abandoned project.

The football authority announced on Thursday that it would deliver a detailed assessment of the scrapped funding initiative to Council members, responding to pressure from Denmark's football chief Jesper Moller, who had publicly questioned why stakeholders had not received adequate clarification on the matter.
The FFE proposal, which was ultimately shelved, had drawn scrutiny from several quarters within international football administration. Moller's intervention underscored growing concerns about the decision-making process and the limited communication provided to national federations and other interested parties.
FIFA's move to table a formal review before the Council represents an effort to address transparency concerns and provide members with a fuller understanding of the proposal's trajectory and the reasoning behind its withdrawal. The timing of the announcement suggests the organisation is seeking to move beyond the controversy surrounding the initiative's abandonment.
The review is expected to cover key aspects of the investment plan, including its rationale, implementation challenges and the factors that led to its discontinuation. Council members will be given the opportunity to scrutinise the findings when they are formally presented.
