Fifty evacuated as firefighters battle warehouse blaze on Penjuru Road

Firefighters were engaged in an ongoing operation to extinguish a blaze that broke out at a warehouse located on Penjuru Road on Tuesday. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded swiftly to the incident, evacuating around 50 individuals from the affected area as a precautionary measure.
The emergency response saw personnel deployed to contain and suppress the fire, with operations continuing into the afternoon. The SCDF has confirmed that there have been no reported casualties at this stage of the incident.
Investigators will assess the cause of the fire once the firefighting operation concludes. The blaze marks the latest industrial fire incident in the western part of the island, where warehouse and manufacturing facilities are concentrated.
