Kohli is best remembered for helming 'Phool Aur Kaante,' the 1994 action thriller that proved to be the launching pad for actor Ajay Devgn's successful film career. The movie, which also starred Madhoo, became a commercial and critical success and established Devgn as a leading man in Hindi cinema.
