Final day of campaigning in West Bengal bypolls as major parties push hard

Campaigning for bypolls in the Nandigram and Rejinagar assembly constituencies will end Sunday evening, with multiple political parties making a final push to secure voter support. In Nandigram, Congress candidate Milan Pradhan and BJP candidate Hasirai Rath are among several contenders actively campaigning across the constituency. The Rejinagar seat has seen equally competitive activity, with the BJP, Congress, AJUP and opposing factions of the Trinamool Congress all fielding candidates and mobilizing their campaigns. Both constituencies are scheduled for polling on October 6, with counting of votes set for October 9. The bypolls assume significance as they test the political strength of competing parties in key assembly segments of West Bengal. Election officials have completed arrangements for the electoral process, with security measures being put in place ahead of the voting day.
