Finance firm employees arrested for forcing blood donation over unpaid mobile dues

In a disturbing case of coercion, authorities in Lucknow's Nigohaan area arrested two employees of a finance company on charges of unlawful confinement, assault, and extortion. The accused allegedly targeted a young man over unpaid mobile phone installments, according to police records.
The employees allegedly abducted the victim and held him hostage, subjecting him to physical violence. The accused then forcibly took the man to Samadhan Charitable Blood Centre, where they compelled him to donate blood. Police said the accused subsequently sold the blood, apparently attempting to recover the outstanding dues through an illegal arrangement.
The case came to light following a formal complaint filed by the victim with local police. Investigators registered charges of kidnapping, criminal intimidation, wrongful confinement, and criminal intimidation under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
The arrests mark a significant development in the investigation. Police have launched a comprehensive inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the incident and whether similar cases have occurred previously. Further investigation is underway.
