Finance Ministry adopts 'ATM' framework to accelerate Budget 2027 preparation

PUTRAJAYA — The Finance Ministry has called on its workforce to embrace an 'ATM' operational framework designed to expedite preparations for Budget 2027, focusing on three core principles: Amanah (trust), Tangkas (agility) and Mutu (excellence).

The approach represents an effort to strengthen institutional capacity and departmental coordination as the ministry enters the crucial budget planning cycle. Ministry officials are being encouraged to integrate these values into their daily workflows to ensure more responsive and efficient delivery of budget-related initiatives.

The 'ATM' framework emphasises the importance of building public confidence through reliable governance, maintaining operational flexibility in response to economic conditions, and maintaining high standards across all budget-related processes. The initiative reflects broader government efforts to enhance public service productivity and accountability.

Finance Ministry leadership has signalled that the framework will be integral to meeting the 2027 budget timeline while maintaining the quality of fiscal planning and policy implementation expected by stakeholders and the Malaysian public.
