The fire at the residential property, which spans 235 square yards across a ground floor and three upper storeys, was reported during the day. Emergency services responded swiftly to contain the blaze to the first floor of the structure.
According to fire officials, the flames were restricted to domestic articles stored on the first floor, preventing the fire from spreading to other levels of the building. The prompt response by firefighting teams helped keep the damage within a confined area.
Two residents were hospitalised following exposure to smoke and heat from the fire. Their condition and identities have not been disclosed. Investigations into the cause of the fire are underway, with authorities examining whether it was accidental or resulted from an electrical fault.
No additional casualties were reported, and the fire has been brought under control. The building's structural integrity remains intact, though portions of the first floor have sustained fire damage. Local residents were evacuated as a precautionary measure during the firefighting operation.
