Fire damages classroom at Penang's Chung Ling High School
A fire broke out in a classroom at SMK(C) Chung Ling in Ayer Itam, George Town, on Tuesday night, destroying approximately 20 percent of the facility. No injuries were reported from the incident.

The fire occurred at the Chinese independent secondary school located in the Ayer Itam area of George Town, Penang's capital. Emergency responders attended to the blaze, which was contained before it could spread to other parts of the school compound.
The affected classroom sustained substantial damage, with approximately one-fifth of its contents and structure destroyed in the fire. The cause of the incident is being investigated by the relevant authorities.
School officials have not yet announced any impact on classes or operations following the incident. Efforts to restore the damaged classroom are expected to commence once investigations are completed.
