TACLOBAN CITY – A fast-moving fire destroyed at least 21 houses in Batangas 42-A village in the Quarry district of Tacloban City on Thursday morning, Nov. 5, with six residents sustaining injuries in the incident.

The fire broke out at approximately 10:10 a.m., quickly engulfing the residential area where most structures were constructed from light, flammable materials. Initial response teams mobilized to contain the flames and evacuate nearby residents.

The six injured persons were attended to following the incident, though specific details regarding the severity of their injuries were not immediately available. Fire officials launched an investigation into the cause of the blaze.
