Five flights delayed at Kuala Lumpur airport due to haze

Five flights were delayed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Tuesday due to haze affecting visibility and operations, according to Transport Minister Loke Siew Fook. The minister said several of the affected flights were diverted to Kuala Lumpur International Airport's secondary terminal as well as Changi Airport in Singapore to minimise passenger inconvenience. The diversions represent precautionary measures taken to ensure flight safety amid reduced visibility caused by regional haze. Authorities have been monitoring air quality levels and visibility conditions at the airport throughout the day. The ministry said it would continue to work with airport operators and airlines to manage flight operations and keep passengers informed of any further disruptions.
