Flash floods devastate northern Nepal as death toll mounts

Flash floods triggered by heavy rainfall have caused significant damage across northern Nepal, with emergency services reporting multiple fatalities and several people missing in the affected districts. The sudden surge of water has destroyed homes, swept away livestock, and damaged critical infrastructure in remote mountainous areas where access remains challenging for rescue teams.

Nepal's disaster management authorities have warned that the final casualty toll may rise as communication with remote villages remains limited.
