Surveillance camera footage from Gyirong Port in Tibet documented the moment a massive flash flood tore through the border region, subsequently crossing into Nepal's Rasuwa district with devastating force. The surging waters, carrying debris and sediment, swept across populated areas with little warning, destroying structures and displacing residents in its path.
The Bhote Koshi river, which forms part of the Nepal-China border, became a conduit for the floodwaters as the torrent moved downstream from the Tibetan side.
