Flooding in Tanintharyi claims life, leaves dozens missing

Heavy flooding has swept through multiple villages in Tanintharyi Region, resulting in at least one confirmed death and widespread displacement across the southernmost part of Myanmar. Local authorities reported that more than a dozen people are currently missing following the deluge that submerged residential areas and disrupted normal life in the region.

Emergency response teams have been mobilized to affected communities, though access to some villages remains difficult due to ongoing waterlogged conditions.
