Fly91 has commenced operations on the Vijayawada-Tirupati route, introducing air connectivity between the two cities with flights scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Flight IC-3511 departs from Tirupati at 8:05 a.m., while the return service IC-3512 leaves Vijayawada at 9:45 a.m., providing convenient morning connections for business and leisure travellers in the region.
The new service marks an expansion of regional air connectivity in Andhra Pradesh, connecting two important cities in the state. Tirupati, a major pilgrimage destination, and Vijayawada, an emerging commercial hub, are expected to benefit from improved air transport links that reduce travel time between the cities.
The launch of the route has drawn attention from local political leaders, with the Gannavaram MLA using the occasion to reiterate demands for enhanced international flight services. The legislator has urged the Union Civil Aviation Minister to consider adding direct flights to Dubai from Vijayawada airport, citing the city's growing economic importance and potential for international air traffic.
Industry observers note that the addition of regional routes by budget carriers reflects growing confidence in air travel demand across smaller metropolitan areas in South India. The Vijayawada-Tirupati service represents one of several recent initiatives aimed at strengthening air connectivity across Andhra Pradesh.
