Food safety drive in Shivamogga leads to closure of juice outlets

A food safety inspection conducted by the Assistant Commissioner's office in Shivamogga has led to the closure of two outlets operated by Tanu Juice Centre, both situated in prominent locations across the city. The enforcement action came after the inspection team identified serious hygiene violations during their routine checks of hospitality and food service establishments in the district.

During the inspection, officials discovered rotten fruit exhibiting visible fungal growth at the juice centre outlets. The presence of contaminated raw materials posed a potential health risk to consumers, prompting authorities to immediately order the suspension of operations at both branches pending corrective measures.

The drive, which encompassed hotels and juice centres across Shivamogga, is part of ongoing efforts to maintain food safety standards and protect public health in the region.
