MANILA — A comprehensive forensic review of Vice President Sara Duterte's finances has examined her personal assets, income records, and three business entities associated with her and her husband, lawyer Manases Carpio, according to testimony presented in court proceedings.

Forensic financial analyst Alexander Cabrera confirmed the scope of the wealth investigation during cross-examination on Monday by defense counsel Kristine Ferrer. The review centers on alleged unexplained wealth totaling ₱817.87 million attributed to the vice president and her spouse.

The forensic examination represents part of an ongoing investigation into the source and nature of the disputed assets. The three companies under scrutiny form a key component of the financial analysis being conducted by investigators and analysts tasked with tracing the origins of the questioned funds.

The cross-examination proceedings come as legal representatives continue to challenge and examine the evidence and methodology used in the wealth review. The case remains active in the courts as both prosecution and defense present their respective positions regarding the financial analysis and its findings.
