Debasish Sharma, who served in the Assam Civil Service beginning in 1992, is transitioning to electoral politics after an extensive career in public administration. His maiden posting as an IAS officer was in Barpatā district, where he gained foundational experience in district-level governance.
With approximately 30 years of administrative service spanning various postings across Assam, Sharma brings considerable institutional knowledge to his political candidature.
