Armed Forces of the Philippines personnel and Philippine National Police officers conducted a joint operation in Nueva Ecija province on Friday, resulting in the arrest of Hondrado, who remains wanted for attempted homicide and violation of firearms laws. The Philippine Army confirmed the arrest in a statement released Saturday.

Hondrado previously served as a "lie-low" leader within a communist insurgent organization that has since been dismantled. His arrest came as security forces continue operations targeting former rebel members still at large in the region.

The suspect is now in custody pending investigation and processing of charges. Military officials have not disclosed additional details regarding the specific incidents for which Hondrado is wanted or the circumstances of his apprehension.

The operation reflects ongoing efforts by Philippine security forces to locate and arrest remaining members of dissolved rebel groups wanted in connection with criminal activities across the country.
