Goh Leong San, a former leader of the Democratic Action Party in Melaka, made his first public political appearance at a ceramah held on Saturday, signalling his involvement with the Bersama campaign. His participation marks a notable return to the political stage for the veteran figure.
Separately, N Gopal Kishnam, a respected trade union veteran, formally joined the Bersama movement last month. His involvement underscores the coalition's efforts to attract experienced figures from both the political and labour sectors.
The recruitment of established figures such as Goh and Kishnam reflects Bersama's strategy to broaden its base of support and leverage their networks and experience within their respective constituencies. Both have maintained active roles in Malaysian civil society, making their alignment with the movement a significant development.
The Bersama campaign continues to build momentum ahead of anticipated political developments in the country. The involvement of figures with established credibility in political and labour circles is expected to enhance the movement's reach and credibility among voters and activists alike.
