Former Defence Chief Anil Chauhan Named VIF Director

General Anil Chauhan has been tapped to lead the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF), one of India's prominent strategic research institutions based in the capital. The appointment marks Chauhan's transition from active military service to the policy research sphere.

Chauhan, who served as the nation's Chief of Defence Staff until his recent retirement, will take charge of the foundation's directorship effective October 5.
