Former diplomats protest flawed voter verification process in Delhi
Retired Indian Foreign Service officials have expressed strong displeasure over discrepancies in a voter verification process that has affected dozens of former government employees living in Delhi's IFS apartments.

Former diplomat G. Parthasarathi and other retired officials residing in Mayur Vihar's IFS apartments have voiced anger over the Supplementary Identification Records (SIR) verification process, citing mismatches with previous voter lists. Parthasarathi's name failed to match in the existing electoral roll, prompting him to call for the removal of those responsible for designing the flawed system.
Rukmini, daughter of Parthasarathi, said approximately 50 to 60 former government officials are grappling with similar verification issues. The problems have sparked concerns about the process's reliability and implementation among the retired diplomatic community.
Former Ambassador Kailash Agrawal has also criticized the verification procedure, describing it as unnecessarily complicated. The complaints highlight broader concerns about the efficiency and accuracy of voter identification systems affecting a concentrated population of senior retired officials in the capital.
