The Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court released Shiranthi Rajapaksa on bail conditions set at two surety bonds valued at Rs. 10 million each, along with a cash bail component, according to court proceedings on Tuesday. The bail was granted in relation to allegations concerning the misappropriation of funds connected to the Siriliya Saviya organisation. Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama presided over the decision to allow her temporary release pending further legal proceedings. The investigation into the organisation's financial dealings continues as authorities examine the circumstances surrounding the fund management. Rajapaksa's case forms part of a broader series of financial investigations that have intensified in recent years involving high-profile political figures and their associates.
