Former naval officer held after triple murder in Lucknow dispute

A man identified as Rishabh Shukla, a former Merchant Navy officer, has been arrested following the deaths of three members of the Tiwari family in Lucknow's Saadatganj area on Thursday. Police said the killings stemmed from a longstanding dispute over parking space and platform rights in the residential locality.

According to initial investigations, Shukla opened fire on the victims—identified as Shivaji, Shambhu, and Suyash Tiwari—in rapid succession. After the shooting, the accused allegedly remained at the scene armed with a pistol and magazine, preventing bystanders and family members from providing medical assistance to the wounded.

Police secured the crime scene and took the accused into custody for questioning. The Lucknow Police Commissioner has directed senior officers to pursue the case with strict adherence to legal procedures. Preliminary evidence suggests premeditation, with investigators examining the circumstances surrounding the dispute that preceded the violence.

The incident has drawn attention to property-related conflicts in residential areas and their potential for escalation into serious criminal acts. Authorities are continuing their investigation and have registered a case under relevant criminal statutes.
