Former Tech Mahindra executive killed in Faridabad parking row shooting

Paramjith Dhankhar, who previously held a senior position at the technology services firm Tech Mahindra, was fatally shot in what police are treating as a dispute resolution gone fatally wrong in the industrial city of Faridabad, Haryana.

According to initial police investigation, the suspect identified as Mohan Sharma allegedly discharged approximately 15 rounds from his licensed firearm during the confrontation. The shooting occurred during what investigators believe was an escalated disagreement between neighbours concerning parking arrangements.

The incident underscores recurring instances of neighbourhood conflicts in residential areas turning violent. Police have registered a case against the suspect and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting and Sharma's motivations.

The case has drawn attention to questions around the regulation of licensed firearms and the circumstances under which such weapons are employed to resolve civil disputes. Tech Mahindra, a major information technology and business process outsourcing company, has not issued a public statement regarding the incident.
