Former UMMC technician considers legal action over alleged protocol violations

Nur Fauzia Abdul Razak, a former radiography technician at University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), has signalled her intention to sue the hospital over claims of procedural violations, should negotiations for an amicable resolution fail.
Razak, who is currently receiving treatment for stage 4 Hodgkin lymphoma, has cited alleged breaches of standard operating procedures as the basis for her complaint against the institution. The specifics of these alleged violations have not been detailed in her public statements.
The move marks an escalation in what appears to be an ongoing dispute between the former employee and the hospital. Legal action would represent a significant step should talks between the two parties prove unsuccessful in reaching a mutually acceptable settlement.
