The Mumbai Crime Branch has secured extended custody of four accused persons in the Tiger Shroff case until October 28, as the investigation progresses into multiple aspects of the alleged incident. An 11th accused involved in the matter has been separately remanded in custody through October 31.
Investigators are focusing their efforts on tracing the source and supply chain of weapons used in the case, examining encrypted Signal communications between the accused, and identifying the local support network that may have facilitated the incident. These investigative priorities reflect the police's assessment that the case extends beyond the primary accused to encompass a wider conspiracy.
Defence counsel for the accused have contested the need for continued custody, arguing that sufficient evidence has already been gathered to proceed with charges. However, the Crime Branch has convinced the court that further detention is necessary to complete their investigative work and establish the full scope of involvement across the network.
The case, which drew significant public and media attention, continues to develop as authorities work to establish the complete chain of events and identify all parties involved in the alleged incident.
