Four activists detained in Bhopal ahead of Delhi protest march

Four volunteers associated with the Cockroach Janta Party were detained in Bhopal on Wednesday while traveling to Delhi for a scheduled protest demonstration, the organization claimed. The individuals—identified as Stanley, Rangasai, Rajesh, and Venky—were on a Delhi-bound train when security personnel boarded their coach during a scheduled station halt and ordered them to disembark, according to party representatives.

The party characterized the action as preventive detention, suggesting the individuals were stopped due to their planned participation in the October 10 gathering in the national capital. No immediate statement was available from authorities regarding the reasons for the removal from the train.

The incident highlights ongoing tensions surrounding political mobilization and protest activities in the region. The detentions raise questions about the circumstances under which commuters may be removed from interstate trains and the procedures followed during such interventions.

The Cockroach Janta Party has not disclosed whether the detained volunteers have since been released or what legal recourse the organization intends to pursue in response to the incident.
