Four areas record unhealthy air quality levels this evening

Air quality monitoring data released this evening shows that four locations across Malaysia have registered unhealthy readings on the Air Pollutant Index (API). Johan Setia topped the list with a reading of 154, indicating unhealthy air conditions for the general population. The area is followed by Klang with a reading of 139, Nilai at 130, and Putrajaya at 122—all exceeding the threshold considered safe for prolonged outdoor activities. Health authorities typically advise vulnerable groups including children, the elderly, and those with respiratory conditions to remain indoors or limit outdoor exposure when API readings exceed 100. The remaining monitoring stations across the country recorded healthier API levels during the evening assessment period. Residents in the affected areas are advised to monitor air quality updates closely and take necessary precautions, particularly during peak pollution hours.
