SAN ILDEFONSO, Ilocos Sur — Four people were arrested during an anti-illegal gambling operation conducted by the San Juan Municipal Police Station in Barangay Resurreccion on Tuesday, October 6.
Police said the suspects were caught engaged in "Pining-Pining," a prohibited card game involving monetary bets. Officers conducted the operation following intelligence reports of illegal gambling activities in the barangay.
The arrested individuals were turned over to authorities for further investigation and processing of appropriate charges under anti-gambling laws. Details regarding the amount of money seized and the identities of the suspects were not immediately disclosed by police.
