ALOR SETAR — Four Chinese nationals appeared before the Sessions Court here on Monday to face charges in connection with the alleged kidnapping of a woman in the state capital.
The three men and one woman all entered not guilty pleas to the charges brought against them. The court has set a trial date for the proceedings to commence.
The alleged incident had prompted police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the woman's disappearance and subsequent recovery. Authorities have been working to establish the facts of the case and determine the roles, if any, played by the accused individuals.
The Sessions Court will now proceed with the trial process, during which the prosecution and defence will present their respective cases and evidence before the judge. The outcome will determine whether the accused are found guilty or acquitted of the charges.
