Four missing after vehicle plunges into river in Tarlac bridge collapse

TARLAC CITY — Four people remain missing following the structural failure of the Agana Bridge here, which caused a sport utility vehicle to plunge into the river below on Saturday night, local authorities confirmed.
Nathaniel Dion, 20, was the sole survivor pulled from the water shortly after the collapse occurred on August 29. Rescue teams immediately launched search operations for the four other occupants of the vehicle, whose names have not yet been released.
The incident marks another bridge failure in the region, raising fresh concerns about infrastructure safety in Tarlac. Authorities have not yet disclosed preliminary findings on the cause of the Agana Bridge collapse or whether structural defects or overloading contributed to the failure.
Recovery and investigation efforts are ongoing as search teams work to locate the missing passengers and determine the circumstances that led to the bridge's collapse.
