Four Naga civilians killed in Manipur ambush attack

Four Naga civilians were shot dead in an armed attack between Makui Ashang and Thanamba Naga villages in Manipur's Kangpoki district. Gunmen opened fire on a group of at least six people who were travelling from Makui towards Senapati, a Naga-majority district in the state, according to initial reports.

The exact circumstances surrounding the attack remain unclear, though preliminary investigations suggest the armed assailants deliberately targeted the travellers. Security forces have launched operations in response to the incident.
