Four Para Sukma Selangor events postponed due to haze

Four sporting events at the Selangor Para Sukma have been postponed following deteriorating air quality in the Shah Alam and Klang regions. The decision comes after air pollution index (API) readings in both areas reached 169, classified as unhealthy for outdoor activities.

The postponement reflects growing concerns about haze conditions affecting the state, with organisers prioritising the health and safety of athletes and spectators. The affected events were scheduled to take place during the period when air quality fell below acceptable standards for competition.

Paralympic sporting bodies in the state have been coordinating with local authorities to monitor air quality levels before determining revised dates for the postponed competitions. The move aligns with national guidelines that recommend suspending outdoor activities when API readings exceed 150.
